Make your own banner or flag for PROCESSIONS on 10 June!
PROCESSIONS will be a portrait of women in the 21st century.
The Suffrage campaigners of the 19th and 20th centuries knew the importance of voice and expression. In the years leading up to 1918, the Suffrage campaigners marched by the thousands together through city streets to demand the vote. Through the beautiful hand-made banners they carried, they made a visual snapshot of women’s history, achievements and aspirations.
Today you have the chance to make your voice heard.
We invite you to make a banner, flag or pennant to bring to the events on June 10th, that expresses the lives, ideas, hopes and concerns of women in the 21st century.
Then join the hundreds of women and girls raising your banners high on the streets of our capitals on the 10th of June.
Between February and June, organisations and community groups up and down the UK will be taking part in an extensive creative programme to design and make hundreds of banners that will echo the practices of the women’s suffrage campaign while being inspired by the experiences of today and we’d love you to join them.

You could also invite your local MP or councillor to speak to your group about being elected and a life in public service.
